Shoot for Pink Piggy Design

I can't even begin to put into words how awesome and amazing this shoot was. We got to style some amazing models and get creative in our work. Megan gave us a lot of freedom to be creative and I loved that. Being on set for this shoot was probably the most tiring because we had both Tim and Heidi shooting at the same time while Hilary prepped the third model so I was running back in forth like a chicken with my head cut off! One of the best parts about it was being able to finally be on set with Audrey of Studio Stems. The work she did for this shoot was to DIE for. Megan was awesome to work for and of course it wouldn't be the same if Hilary wasn't there.
Shot by the dynamic duo, Tim and Heidi Uhl, it was so fun to work with both of them. Loved every second of it!

Grand America Hotel Shoot

Jocelyn and I had the opportunity to prep the models for the up coming Grand America Hotel Wedding brochure. Teaming up with Alta Moda Bridal and Russ Dixon Photography, we had a great time and I loved the way Russ captured our work. Thanks to Lexi for bringing us on and to Alta Moda for the referral as well as another fabulous project together.

Teaming up with Justin Hackworth for Modbod

Here are some photos from the recent shoot for Modbod shot by our dear friend Justin Hackworth. Kelly and Morgan were the talent behind this shoot. I have to brag because I have worked several photoshoots in my time and even though you work with beautiful models, it still takes talent to make them look right for a shoot. I couldn't be more proud or happy with the work Kelly and Morgan did for this shoot. They rocked it and the pictures say it all. For the little experience they have, these two talented artists will make it far in their careers and I am so proud that they are on our team! And of course Justin delivered beautiful photos. Of course!

RED CARPET CURLS

Ever wonder how all the movie stars get those big beautiful curls in their hair without it falling flat or looking crunchy from product? Follow these six simple steps and you too can have red carpet worthy curls.

1. Begin by applying a thermal protectant smoothing cream, such as Nectar Thermique by Kerastase, to damp towel dried hair. This will prep the hair by smoothing the hair strands and protecting it from the damaging effects of the blow dryer and curling iron.

2. Once the product is applied evenly, begin blow drying the hair to get a t least 80% of the moisture out. Section off the hair and round brush it until the hair is smooth and dry.

3. To curl, begin by taking a two inch horizontal section at the back bottom half of the head and clip the rest of the hair out of the way. Take one inch vertical sections from the previous section and apply a heat activated setting spray evenly to hair such as Biolage Thermal Active setting spray.

4. Insert a one or two inch curling iron horizontally to the middle of the hair strand and begin twisting it downwards lifting up on the clamp of the barrel and working the ends in. Once the ends are in, roll the iron towards the root and hold for just a few seconds to set the hair. Gently unwind the curling iron and set it aside. With your fingers, re roll the hair up to the root and pin it carefully using a bobby pin on the inside of the curl to avoid creasing.

5. Proceed by repeating steps 3 and 4. Once bottom section is complete, go ahead and part off another two inch horizontal section directly above it and take corresponding one inch vertical sections. Continue, completing the entire head.

6. When the hair is set (cooled), begin by removing the pins in the order they were put in. After the curls are all down, gently finger comb them and use a comb to smooth the top. If needed, apply a light back combing to the roots. As a finishing aid, use a light smoothing cream on your fingers, such as Lumiere Nutri Sculpt by Kerastase, and gently to the ends of the curls to smooth. Use a medium-strong hold aerosol hairspray to add the perfect finishing touch but not too much!!. We recommend Davines Defining Hair Spray.

Now all you need is beautiful dress and you're ready for your close up on the Red Carpet!

Take a vacation from mascara

Eyelash Extensions is a new and exciting product and technique for thicker, longer and naturally abundant looking eyelashes. Eyelashes are made thicker and longer through professional application of an individual synthetic eyelash extension directly attached to the natural eyelash with our specially formulated bonding agent. Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent that can last up to 4-6 weeks depending on the life cycle of your natural lashes. Touch ups are required usually after 4-6 weeks.
Whats the investment?
$150 for the 1st application and $45.00 for monthly touch ups.

DID YOU KNOW???

• Combing is less detrimental than brushing

o When the hair is wet, it is stretched out and therefore very fragile. So use a wide toothed comb on damp hair rather than a brush.

• Correct shampooing will not dry out the hair

o Try using a professional product. Store bought shampoos are too strong for most hair types. Imagine shampooing your hair with Tide or Cascade! Kerastase and Davines are our favorite product lines!!!!

• Wet hair should not be rubbed since hair is very sensitive

o Most of the time, you probably towel dry your hair too roughly. Try just blotting the hair with a towel or squeezing the towel around your hair to get the moisture out.

• Hormone imbalance and crash dieting can trigger temporary hair loss

o Don’t stress! It’s just temporary. But if the problem persists, you need to consider using Bain Densitive shampoo and conditioner by Kerastase.

Here are some other interesting facts

• On average, a man spends about five months of his life shaving, shaving about 20,000 times.

• On average, a hair strand's life span is five and a half years.

• On average redheads have 90,000 hairs. People with black hair have about 110,000 hairs.

• Humans have about the same number of hair follicles as a chimpanzee.

• The average human head weighs about eight pounds.

• The reason why hair turns gray as we age is because the pigment cells in the hair follicle start to die, which is responsible for producing "melanin" which gives the hair colour.

• The fastest growing tissue in the human body is hair.

30 STRANGERS
A couple of months back, Enizio had a fund raiser for the Panzi Hospital in Africa. We sold new and slightly used prom gowns for 10-40 dollars in hope to raise some money to help out the rape victims in the District of Congo. Unfortunately we did not do a well as I had hoped. FORTUNATELY, we were still able to give back. We decided instead to donate the funds to Justin Hackworth's 30 Strangers fundraiser for the Center for Women and Children in Crisis. We were happy to help sponsor the exhibit because we felt that it was for a very worthy cause. Another cool thing, Carol and my mom got to be day 13th Strangers session. So cute! Next year we hope to donate a greater amount to the Panzi Hospital so please stay tuned for more details on that.

I am excited to see Phillip again at NAHA's in 2 weeks! Heres a shot Larry captured with Allie, Joelle and myself during the training.
