Shoot with Beckstead: DAY 1

Isn't this girl GORGEOUS???? Rachel is Julie Parkers niece and doing hair and makeup on her is a dream!! As you can see, we were able to participate in the "Shoot with Beckstead" project once again. It is always an honor to prep for Davids workshops as some of the most talented photographers from around the country always show up and capture our work in fun new angles. I was able to prep Rachel's hair and makeup for day 1. Heres a couple pictures from Julie's portfolio.

Shoot with Beckstead: DAY 2

For the second days shoot, Enizio was asked to participate for Makeup only. We were able to team up with Keith Bryce of Filthy Gorgeous and Chad from Switch Salon. Jocelyn is the master behind the makeup on these next two photos. Amazing... Julie rocks doesn't she??

Shoot with Beckstead: EXTENDED

Extending one extra day, Heidi and one of the other photographers from the workshop decided to team up and get some additional shots. The photography below is none other than Heidi Uhl of Retrospect Studios, the gowns by, you guessed it, Alta Moda and Hair and Makeup by Carol.

Whahooooooo!

Last night ENIZIO had the opportunity to be recognized by Salt Lake City Magazine as their pick for Best Makeup Artist 2009. I cried. Its a big deal for us because makeup is the reason Carol got into hair to begin with so to be recognized for that after all these years is so incredibly awesome! Thank you so much for the nomination and the votes! This truly means the world to us !!!!! OK more like the galaxy ;D

Who doesn't love balloons?

We recently took our kids to see the movie UP. My son Aden (who is 18 months) LOVES balloons so you can imagine the excitement when the balloons apeared on the screen. He started freaking out screaming babloon, babloon!!

Well who would of thought that balloons would make such great props for all things wedding photography? You can't help but admit that in the end, balloons=happy! Check out this round of photos of beautifully depicted balloon props for wedding and engagement photography.

KATIE

Katie has been my most fun bride up to date. Because her mother was not able to make it into town for her bridal session, Katie hired us to come on-site for her photo shoot. This girl has her wedding down to the last detail, and when she explained all the amazing ideas she had for her bridal photo session I was so excited to be able to be a part of it. Well as our luck would have it, the weather chose not to cooperate and as we were getting ready to push her canoe out into the lake to start her pictures it started pouring on us. We were soaked! Of course we had to get creative and at the bottom of her section here you can see that she was able to capture beautiful images. Shot by Sweet Memory Garden, Katie's session was unforgettable and so much fun!

Oh and her beautiful flower head piece and bouquet... The one and only Audrey from Studio Stems.

NUTRIDEFENSE SPRAY

One of the products we love here at Studio Enizio is the Nutridefense Spray. Its a great "DO IT ALL" product. It detangles, adds shine, makes the hair soft, has anti dryness protection and counters the effects of harsh external aggressions. It's also great for curly hair as  a second day restyler! PUMP UP THE VOLUME JOCELYN STYLE

If you feel like your hair is falling flat immediately after your blowdry, or feel like you simply cannot achieve the volume you would like, here are some tips to help you pump up the volume in your style:

Apply Kerastase Volumactive Mousse, or Mousse Nutri-Sculpt to towel-dried hair (about a golf ball size). Work it in at the roots with your fingertips until dissolved.

Next, lift the hair up, one inch section-by-section, and apply Volumactive spray starting at the root, from about six inches away. Finger-comb through the ends.

Begin your blow dry at the roots. You may either hold the hair up with your fingers or a small vent brush, or bend upside-down, but focus the airflow on the roots.

*if the roots are not dry before the ends, or before the style is completed,

they will automatically fall, no matter how many volumizing products are in

your hair.

Only begin to round brush once the roots are 100% dry. Direct the hair straight up with the round brush for more fullness.

*for extra hold, press the cold-shot button on your dryer and run the brush

through a final time.

Finish with the new Double Force Controle Ultime hairspray for an all-day hold.

"Speaking of bananas.." Heres the stunning Lauren. Lauren hired us to be there for her throughout her days activities which I have to admit was THE BEST! We had the opportunity to await her in the bridal room at the Salt Lake Temple which brought back so many memories for Jocelyn and I since that is where we were both married. Her family was so funny and amazing! I can't say enough great things about our day with Lauren. Heres her morning before and afters...

Megan

I love, love, love, a bride with personality! Heres the stunning Megan who rocked my world! Her and Ryan were married in the Harley Davidson building! She rocked extensions and a beautiful black feather. I can't wait to see her wedding pic's by the one and only Dustin Izatt who also rocks our world. Catalina

The beautiful High School Graduate Catalina ended her Senior year by attending Prom with her HS sweetheart Noah. Catalina gave us the honor of doing her hair and makeup for her unforgettable event and this girl is so beautiful she should model full time! Heres how her hair and makeup turned out!
